For this blog post, I chose to focus on the requirements implemented by FAFSA in order to receive Federal Student Aid. Whereas my group is focusing on tuition and student debt, I am specifically focusing on Financial Aid and how students receive this type of aid. As many students know, FAFSA is the Free Application a prospective or current student must fill out in order to possibly receive monetary aid. I believe this source is both relative to my article and important for any student to have access to. Not only does it directly relate back to Financial Aid, but it is produced by the organization themselves. In continuation, it is critical for a student to know what types of requirements are necessary before receiving aid – such as being a citizen or an eligible noncitizen of the United States, maintain satisfactory academic progress, now owe a refund on a federal student grant or be in default on a federal student loan, plus a few more – all of which are outlined in this source.
